~~Background:

I'm of Pakistani descent, born and raised in a multi-ethnic environment in Saudi Arabia. Despite living in just one country, I was raised interacting with people of various cultures and ethnicities (a third-culture kid). So I feel less attached to any one culture and have developed a preference for living among diversity rather than within a single culture/ethnicity. My reason for sharing this intro is only to highlight that, for better or worse, I relate more to people with a similar background and standing on the 'cultural spectrum'.

~~Personality:

Personalities are fluid, but I’ll try to share a bit about who *I strive to be* at the core. A Muslim—living Islam as a way of life. Honest (sometimes can be brutally so). Principled (try to be). Keen on tazkiyah (a novice...this is a hard one, but something I try to make a regular concern).

Generally—Shy and more introverted. Enjoy social life with breaks of solitude...the kind to have a range of acquaintances but a few friends. Take pleasure from a balance of indoors and outdoors.

Try to understand where everyone is coming from but pray to be guided to the truth and kept firm on it. The kind to err on the side of caution.

Not career-oriented, rather, keen on being engaged in meaningful work.

What I Am Looking For
A companion who puts Allah before all else, and in doing so together, we draw close. One who lives Islam as a way of life. Regularly observes the obligations. Works towards or is keen on holistic self-improvement. Looks at things from an Ummah-wide lens rather than an individual or ‘tribal’ one and seeks to be an active member. Has a light-hearted side.
